Senate Majority PAC, a group connected to Senate Democratic leadership, dropped nearly $3 million in Tuesday’s Ohio GOP Senate primary to back a President Donald Trump-endorsed Republican candidate.

 

Spending money to meddle in your opponent’s primary seems like a strange way to win a general election, but Democratic-related political action committees have been bolstering campaigns for some Republican candidates in primaries across the country.
